Sign in to vote. Hi all I just can't figure this one out or find any workable solution to this problem elsewhere on the interwebs. When a search is performed in Outlook, it almost immediately reports the following And re-add it again. Ceaselessly and pointlessly checking the box called "Allow this file to have contents indexed in addition to file properties" pointless in that it just keeps on checking itself back on regardless.
BTW, why do most online guides suggest doing this? Most, if not all issues I've read suggests this box keeps on unchecking itself so I'm perplexed why this is suggested as a fix. Also, this box is not checked on my own PC and my Outlook Instant Search works fine with no issues at all whatsoever so again, I'm at a loss to explain why so many people suggest checking this box Particulars: This is a newly built PC.
